Likely, you’ve heard.

Maybe you saw the bus going by, urging folks to put down the donut. Or perhaps you caught our TV commercial during the last Super Bowl. If so, you know we’re trying to make Monterey the healthiest county in California.

Sounds easy, right?

Beautiful weather. Invigorating scenery. Bike trails. Walking paths. Challenging — or not — hikes. Plenty of local produce.

Well, not so fast. It seems that Monterey County is just about average when in comes to the health status of our county. That doesn’t sit particularly well with us at Montage Health. For the past 80-plus years, we’ve been dedicated to improving lives and helping create optimal health for everyone in our community. So, we like to be at the top of these kinds of lists.

We pride ourselves on hard work and commitment, which means we will be doing our part to help our entire county move toward the top of the list. Which also means joining you in this challenge. So, let’s get moving, eating better, paying it forward, reading, laughing, talking face-to-face, and sleeping more.
